Darling Magazine Dinner No.4

I recently had the amazing opportunity to attend one of the Darling Magazine Dinners this past June.  My sweet mama and I were celebrating my birthday week in Cali and it was actually on one of our chill days that I just happened to check my instagram and saw that Darling Magazine announced a few more spots left open for their dinner.  I mean, what are the odds of me being in California the same week as the dinner and a few spots just happening to open up!  I purchased the tickets before I could even think.  It was such a blessing!! My mom and I got dressed, hopped in our uber car and made our way to the downtown LA Arts district.  We actually arrived rather early just to make sure that LA traffic didn’t make us too late.  We immediately met up with a few more girls who were waiting in the lobby area, all introducing ourselves and becoming acquainted with each other.  The doors finally opened and we made our way up the stairs and into such a beautiful loft.  It was so open and filled with such a sweet aroma of delicious food being prepared in the kitchen.  I had a chance to talk  with such wonderful girls about life and everything in between.  I have to admit, sometimes I can feel completely awkward in social settings, not really knowing how to jump into conversation and mingle.  But with this group of ladies, it was so easy.  I felt completely comfortable and open.  After a bit of chit chat, we all made our way to a beautifully set dinner table and were served the most delicious food.  Compliments to the wonderful host, Theresa Spencer.  After our plates were filled to the brim, we began an enlightening conversation with the group.  The table was split into two groups to discuss different topics and share our opinions on a few dinner questions.  We discussed things like what we felt the meaning of being inspired was & rather or not we felt like we were living from the inside-out or the outside-in.  I sat there next to my sweet mama and listened to these ladies pour out their hearts, sharing difficult & personal life situations and being proud to speak of their faith.  It was truly so moving and inspiring. We cried, we laughed, we prayed, we talked and we just simply enjoyed each other’s company.  It was such a magical night and I am so thankful that I was there.  I left feeling so encouraged and so inspired by all these women who I’d only known for two hours.  It’s funny how that happens.  As women, I believe we are made to be there in support for one another, to always encourage and inspire each other in life.  Every woman has a different and unique purpose to fulfill.  Whether that is being a mother, a sister, a speaker, a designer, a photographer, a doctor, a friend, a missionary, a dancer, etc. Each woman has an individual journey that she is on. One that is full of hardships and joys. Pain and growth.  The ugly and the beautiful.  However, I think it is truly remarkable to see women together in a means to encourage each other in their life endeavors.  I love to see women adopting the role of sisterhood to support one another and inspire each other to live life more beautiful and more purpose driven!  I’m so grateful  that I was surrounded by a group of women who are doing just that.  Darling Magazine continually uplifts women and pushes us to see our fullest potential.  It is incredible to see the way that they are beautifully impacting women all around the world.  Thank you Darling Magazine for such an unforgettable night!  Here are just a few snaps of moments throughout the dinner….
